Andrew Nowocien

General Manager

Andrew moved to Coastal North Carolina in 2020 while serving as a CH-53E helicopter pilot in the U.S. Marine Corps. Now a licensed general contractor, he brings years of construction experience and a detail-driven mindset to every project. As he puts it, "Construction planning is just flight planning in slow motion." In 2022, he oversaw the full restoration of a 1901 home in Burgaw.

Lauren Nowocien

Lead Interior Designer

Lauren began her career in GEICO's management development program, gaining experience in customer service, contract review, and leadership. After becoming a licensed homeowners insurance agent, she transitioned to real estate in 2020. Now with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Carolina Premier Properties, she's a recognized top producer and continues to grow her skills in interior design through renovation projects.

Karla is a former military spouse who plays a vital role in managing the behind-the-scenes operations that keep the business running efficiently. She oversees tasks such as scheduling inspections, filing permits, coordinating billing and change orders using Buildertrend software, and handling a wide range of administrative duties essential to daily operations.

Now Renovations has $1,000,000 liability coverage so that you can sleep easy at night. Now Renovations also has a worker’s compensation policy that covers all sub-contractors used. Andrew Nowocien acquired his general contractor’s license in May of 2023, license number 100801. This business is truly licensed and insured.

We were in a tough spot after mold was found and our kitchen sink and cabinets were removed. We couldn’t find anyone available to help quickly. Thankfully, we found Now Renovations. They communicated clearly, kept everything on schedule, and made the process easy. Materials arrived quickly, and once work started, the project was finished in just a week. Their responsiveness, professionalism, and quality of work really took the stress out of the situation.

BLUF: Overall they did good work and remodeled our bathroom to the look that we desired. They also repaired rot in our subfloor. I would recommend this company.My wife and I sought out 4 other contractors initially who all came out to our house and told us they would get us a quote. We were stood up by all 4 companies either in giving us a quote or starting the job. NOW Renovations came out and got us a quote fairly quickly. Andrew and his team were responsive to my feedback and allowed me to be as involved in the remodel as I wanted to be. They helped me get the cost down closer to our budget without compromising on quality. Aaron managed the project for Andrew and was always patient with my questions and requests. Any mistakes were fixed promptly and without issue. Only notable frustration was that it took about two months for the job to get done due to subcontracting issues. However, I would still use Andrew and his team again.

I had a leak in my closet that ruined my carpet. Andrew and his team did an amazing job removing the carpet, repainting, installing new floors and even fixing my clothing rack that I paid another handyman way too much to repair. I would definitely hire him again. He’s fairly priced, communicative, punctual and an overall outstanding professional. Thanks Andrew.

Andrew is very professional and reliable. He has tiled our kitchen backsplash beautifully, as well as installed light fixtures, redone our front entry way, put in new flooring and is even helping us plan out several more projects to complete soon.
